Say Hello To Anish!

This is a backdated introduction to Anish, who first began writing for spatialdrift anonymously mid-2013.

Anish Patel - Reviewing Atlanta-area restaurants

Meet Anish Patel. I’d worked with Anish at Response Mine Interactive for nearly 2.5 years before we discovered our common interest in food, and the Atlanta food scene. As we got to know each other better, and I got more and more into food blogging and Urbanspoon, it occurred to me that Anish’s interest in renowned chefs and higher-end restaurants could be a nice balance to my nitty-gritty Buford Highway posts.

After some cautious discussion about the subject, and after initially turning me down, Anish began contributing feedback and a few furtive cell phone pics of his carefully-curated fine dining excursions, including recent openings of notable chefs’ restaurants.

Since then, it’s been great to chat food with him and watch him get settled in his identity as a food blogger. He’s long since started writing his own content and being less shy about taking photos in restaurants. His also really honed his picture-taking skills, too.

We have different preferences, opinions, review styles, and rating systems, so I think it’s really valuable to be able to offer alternate views on here on the site through Anish’s reviews. So here’s a hearty if retroactive thanks and welcome aboard to my first contributor, Anish! Thanks, man.
