Let Me Eat Cake!

It turns out the cake is also a big part of the wedding experience. We are both thrilled and lucky to have Mary of n00bcakes making the cake for our big day. It’s really enriched the whole experience to work with our dear friends for various bits and pieces of the wedding (Like Richard and the photography). We’ve met with Mary twice now to taste-test cakes, and it has just been great. As good friends we know we can be honest with each other, and as good friends, we’re sure to have a blast, too! And using her skills to help with the wedding and allowing us to save money so that we can put on the wedding we want without financial strain is the most meaningful gift Mary could give us. Thanks Mary!

We haven’t tried all the flavors we plan on trying, nor tinkering with the flavors we haven’t already eliminated. There’s another testing next week – I know I can’t wait!

It’s all pretty exciting. And fattening. But still exciting.

  1. we had peaches an cream, white chocolate raspberry, and irish cream. irish cream was my favorite. I loved them all!

  2. well as you know we had a bunch of flavors (one of the major advantages of having cupcakes), there was a gingerbread pear, pine nut rosemary, carrot cake, salted caramel sugar cookie and chocolate with vanilla icing. I would absolutely keep the same flavors if I had to do it over, my only regret is that I didn't eat more of them. I often go back to the cupcake factory and revisit a lot of my wedding flavors though 🙂
