Red Gold, a premium tomato company, sent me some product samples to try in the kitchen and on the grill. I’ll be reporting on those experiments in the coming weeks. But until then, I have a couple of items to give away, and Red Gold is doing a bigger giveaway of their own.
So here’s the deal: Red Gold is giving away 1,000 aprons a week for five weeks (this is already underway) and is giving away a Green Egg Ceramic Grill & Smoker. The promotion began July 24th on Red Gold’s Facebook page – I am slow – but there’s still time, because it ends August 30th. So you can still head over there and enter.
If you’re interested in a better shot at getting an apron (like, a really good shot), I will give away one apron each to the folks who can use those social media connections to garner the most new likes on Facebook, new follows on Twitter, or new email subscriptions.
How to win my little giveaway: If someone likes this site on Facebook and posts a comment on the wall saying “So-And-So sent me” or something similar, you get a point. Same for Twitter (plus a tweet @spatialdrift with your name so I know to count it), and for new email subscriptions of this site (sorry I can’t track the RSS subscribers as easily at this time). For email subscriptions, the new subscriber can just comment on this page with your name to earn you a point.
Each channel counts, so if you can convince some poor sap to do all three (and mention your name in a comment/tweet all three times), I’ll give you three points! It’s that easy.
Heck, if YOU join extra channels and credit yourself, I’ll give you points. “Contest” ends August 31st at midnight.
Theoretically, the two people who can get the most will each win an apron (and I’ll come up with a little something to sweeten the pot for the first place winner). But I’m not even sure if I can convince two of you to do this, so I’m fairly certain that if anyone actually takes me up on this, they’ll win…
‘Cuz giveaways are weird and/or lame. Or maybe they feel less lame when you’re Ree Drummond giving away custom-painted Artisan stand mixers and other beautiful, desirable things. BUT these are free aprons, we’re talking about people. And they have a pocket. FOR THINGS. That’s gotta be worth at least one like/follow, right?
Right?!
