It’s like a vision… |
This weekend we had help from not only dear Ashley, but also our good friends Mary (of n00bcakes) and her s.o. Scott. Between the five of us (and Ripley), we certainly got a lot of work done (hence patiowned). Having extra hands makes all the difference. I’ve found myself thinking often throughout these past few months how this whole process really shows you your true friends and allies. Luckily for us, we have a great support group who has been extraordinarily wonderful to us. It’s something nice hang on to and remember on days where we feel stressed and isolated.
Enough ruminating. Here are the photos. It was so hot my camera was fogging uncontrollably for the entire span of time I had available to take photos. An interesting if somewhat undesirable effect. *shrug*
L2R: Ashley, Adam, Scott, Mary and a decimated pile of gravel. |
I wish I had a “before” shot of that gravel pile. It was about seven cubic yards at the start, and is down to about one in the above shot.
Ripley helped, too. |
Men being manly. |
So, I didn’t recall the whole twenty-degrees’-worth-of-temperature-difference-making-all-shots-foggy problem until I sat down to write this post – after nightfall. You can barely see the fancy-schmancy posts in the last shot. So better pics will have to wait ’til later. This weekend we hope to find a place for the gravel (it’ll be nice to have a driveway again) and to get all the gravel tamped down and some sand spread out. That’s it for now!
