So, as you might suspect, with the whole moving into a new house thing, the aquariums (yes I actually have three, the 75 and two 10s) got a bit of a reset. Moving the big tank was… epic. It took all day. There was cursing and moving of large heavy objects. There were fish in a cooler, in pots and pans and in a coffee canister. There were problems with hardware, and nearly a fatality due to the delays (falling temperatures + tropical fish = badness, and the lack of filtration probably didn’t help either).
The one and only pic of The Big Move. I forgot to mention the use of a cardboard box lined with an Ikea bag to prevent leakage. Like I said… epic. Note Ember’s willingness to help. |
At any rate, we all survived and are set up in the new hacienda. I also got to arrange the driftwood in a more attractive configuration, since all the tops and equipment were out of the way. I definitely need more plants.
New setup. I like, I like. Time to start thinking about the background. The fact that it repeats in a less than four-foot span is irritating. |
All this rearranging is making the Multispinosa frisky. Again. (Also pictured are false julii corys and a green cory) |
