Less Than One Week To Go!

Well, we’re one week out and things are looking good. The weather forecast is looking good at the moment, which is always comforting. It looks like my dress isn’t going to be able to be altered, but it fits fairly well already, so no big deal. The cake sweets are currently MIA, but should arrive in time. The flowers are scheduled to arrive on Friday, so we’ll be spending a fair bit of time rehabilitating them from being shipped and making them into bouquets. Friday will also be a dry-run of my hairdo/cut/whatever. And hopefully I can find someone at the salon that can do make-up, because I surely can’t!

Yesterday, our Best Man and Maid of Honor threw us a fabulous pre-wedding celebration that some are still trying to sleep off. (When I drink heavily I always wake up early. Counter-intuitive, I know.) A glorious time was had by all, and we are very grateful to have such wonderful friends.

We started at Georgia Tech, playing kick ball and frisbee and wandering around campus, reminiscing. Then we headed over to the Bone Garden Cantina for a lovely dinner (though they no longer have the Tower of Doom, sadness).

Ashley – my MOH and BFF for life – and I.

Vasili, Kate, Adam.
Shannon and I.
Vasili and his skeptical look.

After dinner and some pre-gaming, we headed out to Karaoke Melody II for – you guessed it – karaoke!

Can you spot all the misspellings?

Adam belting it out.
Kate, Me, Joanna, Shannon.
Stephen, Adam Warner and Vasili

Our interpretation of what it’s like to get someone “love drunk off my hump”

“I don’t want no scrub”
Decidedly not scrubs.
Especially this one 🙂
Wub.
“Aerials, in the sky, when you lose small mind, you free your life.”
“Life is a waterfall, we drink from the river, then we turn around and put up our walls.”
“Swimming through the void, we hear the word, we lose ourselves, but we find it all…”

After karaoke, we headed back to our place for more drinks, card games and far too many Totino’s pizza rolls.

Ashley and Stephen demonstrating some of the attributes of a successful marriage: trust, comfort, concern and a maintaining a sense of humor.

Ah, love.
Now it’s time for brunch!
