La Sultana Bakery

After the glorious gustatory experience that was Casa Vieja, you’d think we would have just headed back to the office to slip quietly into a food coma, but instead we headed over to La Sultana Bakery to check it out.

La Sultana Bakery

Like many joints in the Buford Highway area, this panaderia is nothing much to look at on the outside, but it had an impressive amount of baked goods inside. As you can see from the pics, there is nowhere to linger and eat; you’ll be wanting to take your purchases to eat elsewhere.

Some delicious goodies.

Between Teck and I, we grabbed a strawberry-coconut bun kind of thing, a mini-sized cheesecake, and some of muffin-thing wrapped with a sugar bread. Very unusual, at least to me. And all for a grand total of less than $3. Unfortunately, we scarfed them down back at the office without a second thought to taking photos. Oops!

If you’re in the area, definitely give La Sultana Bakery a try. The atmosphere may be lacking, but there are a lot of interesting things to try and the prices are fantastic! 3 stars.
